HORSE SHOW

Show begins promptly at 9:00 AM on Saturday, July 25, 2026

                                                       (Class 21 does not start before noon)

                                                       PRIZES: 1st $12, 2nd $10, 3rd $8, 4th $6

                                                              Entry Fees: $5.00 per class         

Entries must be received by July 15, 2026. Post entries will be charged a $10.00 late registration fee. The fee must be included with the class entries. The show is organized by the New Horizons Horse and Pony Club. Please email entries to and refer questions to: wildpinto64@gmail.com

GENERAL HORSE SHOW RULES

1. Juniors are children under age 18; Seniors are 18 and over.  Exhibitors’ ages are determined as of December 31, 2025.

2. If a horse/pony is unable to attend the show, 50% of the prepaid entry fees will be refunded without a Veterinary Certificate and 100% with one. Certificates are to be presented to the Show Secretary the day of the show.

3. All Senior exhibitors must pay an OAS Membership Fee of $5.00. There is no fee for Junior exhibitors.

4. The OAS reserves the right to refuse entries or cancel the show if they deem it advisable.

5. Exhibitors not having sufficient control over their horse/ pony will be dismissed from the class and may be asked to leave the Fair Grounds.

6. Rules align with the A.Q.H.A. Rule Book.

7. Proper riding attire must be worn. ASTM approved helmets are mandatory for all riders in English classes and Junior riders in Western classes.

8. A PONY is 14.2h and under. Questionable heights will be measured, and all decisions are final and supersede passports.

9. JR/SR riders may show a horse or pony

10. Any class with fewer than 3 entries may be cancelled or, at the discretion of the show secretary, the class may be held with ribbons ONLY awarded. If the class is cancelled, the entry fee will be returned.

11. Gamers must dismount prior to leaving the ring and there are no running starts.

12. Novice classes are for novice riders (any age), not green horses/ponies. Novice classes are walk/trot/jog, no loping or cantering.

13. Western attire and tack are required for games. Western attire includes hat/helmet, western shirt (long sleeves and collared – sleeves must be buttoned OR short sleeves and collared - sleeveless shirts and T-shirts are not acceptable) jeans and paddock boots or western boots. Tack includes western saddle, western bridle and western bit. There is no penalty for gamers if their hat falls off\during their ride.
